Merit Academy's shooting sports club will provide the opportunity for student athletes to participate in a safe, fun shooting sports program that gives youth the opportunity to develop marksmanship skills but life skills necessary to become productive, responsible, and respected adults in the community.

Students will hone skills necessary to compete with other schools in air rifle and air pistol shooting sport, as Merit Academy's marksmanship team.

If your student is interested, please click on the link to the form below. If you have questions, please contact Coach Mike Theimer:

Like with any youth team or club, success requires adult support. Parent participation is required, but flexible.

Volunteer opportunities include:

* Fundraising/Public Relations

* Tech Support (electronic targets and web pages, etc.)

* Club Board of Directors

* Merit Academy's club will provide air rifles, air pistols and pellets.

* We will be training on electronic target systems which speeds up learning and skill development. It will also increase spectator appeal with shot by shot real time video on large screen monitors.
